1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Disclosed Capitol ("the Service"), operated by Disclosed Capitol LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Disclosed Capitol provides publicly available data about US congressional stock trades, lobbying filings, campaign contributions, and government contracts. We aggregate, organize, and present this data for informational and research purposes.

3. User Accounts

Some features require a registered account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and promptly update it if it changes.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Paid plans (Pro, Enterprise) are billed on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Free trial periods, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data in bulk without API authorization
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Redistribute or resell data obtained from the Service without written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and original content, is owned by Disclosed Capitol LLC. The underlying government data is public domain, but our aggregation, analysis, and presentation of that data is proprietary.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the data is complete, accurate, or current. See our Disclaimer for important limitations.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Disclosed Capitol LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to investment losses.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Oregon.
